Did you check the iso md5sum? Did you check the stick md5sum? If you have a bad iso or a bad "burn" then that can also cause weird issues. Make sure the md5sum (or sha, whatever you use) pans out.

to add ... and after you have confirmed the integration check (checksum or signature check) went ok, as just proposed.
Please do boot from LiveUSB twice in both boot modes BIOS/legacy and also UEFI:
Within Boot Option list (Press Fn-key may be F12 or F10 at boot-up POST)
and do select
first time:
* LiveUSB (without UEFI)
and also next boot:
* LiveUSB with UEFI.
In both cases and if booted successfully do post "Quick System Info"
from running LiveUSB.

Though you didn't use nomodeset, intel drivers are not loaded :
Graphics:
Device-1: Intel Skylake GT2 [HD Graphics 520] vendor: ASUSTeK driver: N/A
...
Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.11 compositor: xfwm4 v: 4.16.1 driver: loaded: N/A

That's shown in the QSI, b/c someone recommend video= parameter, which prevents loading KMS driver.
Suggets to gather first information from LiverUSB, to reduce confusion (as it appears to happend with other 70post's confusing thread.
Thanks

"Me" :D
For the same complaint: "booting takes so long time". .. But, in the other thread they were ok with these , same parameters ..

i add it now. the parameters are now
ro quiet nosplash video=SVIDEO-1:d i915.invert_brightness=1
sadly it is slow still now. to open one app takes a lot time. 2 apps at one time is very bad.
