We need bibletime_2.11.2-11 back in MX-21

Hello,
The new version for Bibletime 3.0.5 is still unstable, it has problems,
https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=71226
The old one, bibletime_2.11.2-11, which is in MX-19, is the stable one and we can't get it installed in MX-21 (see above).
I would like to know if it is possible to ask for some developer to put the old version for Synaptic and leave the new one in the MX installer until ...
Thank you very much.

Bibletime 3.0.3 is available as a flatpak in Package Installer if that would interest you.

Some developer already did some work.
The new version is available in the MX installer (MX Repo-test) bibletime 3.0.3-1
Now we can install the works, bibles, etc. but there is still pending the setting of fonts and colours for the text and the background -- there is no way to configure it and that is very important for those of us who have visual problems.
Thanks.

I did a test build of Bibletime 2.11 in MX-21. It builds, installs and runs. You can add works. You can open a bible window - but no text will display therein. It appears the 2.11 source is not compatible with the Qt libraries in debian bullseye/MX-21, and trying to mix Qt library versions in a system never ends well.
Sorry. it's a no-go. Report the issues with 3.0.3 to Debian (they have received no bug reports yet) and upstream.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you want, fonts can be configured: Settings>Configure BibleTime>Fonts, then click on "Use custom font", then use the font and size you want. At least it seems to work for English.
Still no way I see to change the background, other than very limited selections under "Available display styles" under settings.

Thanks timkb4cq, but I don't really understand how to report problems, especially because in this case I see that it is a version modified by MX-21 [bibletime 3.0.3-1]...
Besides, the Debian page is complicated for me, I can't find the right place to report this bug.
@ JeffA, I understand how to make the adjustments, but It doesn't work for me in Spanish, it doesn't increase the size of the letters -- and the configuration for the colors is required.
*Isn't there someone knowledgeable in these matters who can resolve the issue?
I've done my part, I give up.

It must be Debian version, not a version modified by MX.
To report, use reportbug as follows:
Code: Select all
user@mx:~$ reportbug
Welcome to reportbug! Since it looks like this is the first time you have used
reportbug, we are configuring its behavior. These settings will be saved to the
file "/home/user/.reportbugrc", which you will be free to edit further.
Please choose the default operating mode for reportbug.
1 novice Offer simple prompts, bypassing technical questions.
2 standard Offer more extensive prompts, including asking about things that a
moderately sophisticated user would be expected to know about
Debian.
3 advanced Like standard, but assumes you know a bit more about Debian,
including "incoming".
4 expert Bypass most handholding measures and preliminary triage routines.
This mode should not be used by people unfamiliar with Debian's
policies and operating procedures.

Go to the bibletime site, should be there somewhere where you can report a bug. It's not an MX bug, it is a Bibletime bug.
When I googled this seems a good place to start:

While you are sitting around frustrated, why don't you install MX19 in VirtualBox and run the old version of Bibletime in there.
