Tiled wallpapers

#1 Post by rasat »

I have created tiled wallpapers for WMs that have limited auto-scaling. Wallpapers (960x540) that work on different screen resolutions, such as 3840x2160 and 1024x600. If you have any nice ones or you create, post them. Check the link:

Gimp has a nice filter to make seamless images. Check here:

Click menu bar: Filters → Map → Tile Seamless

More tiled wallpapers are added. Here below is one paper in action on a 1920x1080 screen.

Here is a link to a large number of seamless tiles.
Propaganda, at its core, is basically a collection of "seamless tiles". Graphics are drawn so that they do not appear to repeat at the edges.

Oooh, I like those propaganda images.... Cherry-picked 70-ish tiles (and that's only 8% of available images). Happy tiler here.

Have a few tiles that I collected/edited in earlier days:

I have seen your seamless wallpapers on Wallpaper Cave. I think you loaded today four new images, they are beautiful and interesting. :number1: How much time did it take, not easy to make seamless images.

It is quite easy and fast to develop apps but a wallpaper can take a long time. Same as making a painting...... never satisfied, constantly changing. The Tiled Web Desk image is interesting. I added yoga to it and one picture of mine. In Helsinki, I conduct weekly Senior Yoga in three places, a total of 100 people. Big demand among elderly people.
