Today's update broke my console setup

I've just run today's update, it contained just a package, removing zsh and adding zsh+something else. It asked to run "apt autoremove", what I did.
After that, Sakura terminal stopped working, XFCE terminal turned back to sh and trying to set zsh again as default shell gives an error telling I should not change console for my username.
How could I roll back that change?
Thanks in advance.
Jes.

Hi, thanks.
Here you have:
Apt History:
Code: Select all
2022-02-16 20:24:07 install sakura:amd64 <ninguna> 3.6.0-3
2022-02-16 20:23:56 remove zsh-common:all 5.7.1-1+deb10u1 <ninguna>
2022-02-16 20:23:43 remove sakura:amd64 3.6.0-3 <ninguna>
2022-02-16 20:20:38 upgrade zsh-common:all 5.7.1-1 5.7.1-1+deb10u1
2022-02-16 20:20:37 remove zsh:amd64 5.7.1-1 <ninguna>
I removed zsh and sakura and installed sakura again. (three top lines)
the two bottom lines are from the update.
Quick System Info:
It's a dual boot system on the main drive, with a windows partition almost full (I barely use it) and a Linux one.
A second disk has two data partitions (one for each OS).
It has run fine with MX19 for a long time. I didn't dare to migrate yet to MX21 because I wanted to reformat disks, get rid of the Win partitions and that needs planning and backups (so it means time).

could use more of the apt-history. at the moment I'm not seeing why zsh was removed.

ah I see. someone updated zsh-common, but did not bump the depend versioning on the zsh package.
this is all up on debian's repos. not sure what to do except you could force the zsh-common package from debian buster instead of buster/security in synaptic, then you could probably put zsh back.
if that works for you, you could then do
for a while, at least until they update zsh.
**edit** according to the debian changelog, someone is trying to backport some security fixes.

Here you have:
Anyway, reinstalling zsh seems to have somewhat fixed the issue. As far as I know, I only lost the colour scheme. I'll try to install Oh-My-Zsh again, now is B&W.

good.
looks like you might just have updated at an unlucky time. the zsh package is updated to match the zsh-common package.

Removed and installed again Sakura. Running Sakura from another terminal gives this error:
Code: Select all
(sakura:3903): Vte-WARNING **: 01:29:33.552: (../../src/vtegtk.cc:1964):int vte_terminal_match_add_regex(VteTerminal*, VteRegex*, guint32): runtime check failed: (_vte_regex_get_compile_flags(regex) & PCRE2_MULTILINE)
zsh and OMZ run properly under the XFCE Terminal, under Sakura all the color scheme is lost.
