MX-19 Repository: The xfce4-docklike-plugin Thread

This thread is for tracking versions and issues related to the packaging and installation on MX-19 only, it is not a general support and feature request thread, thank you.
That being said I am willing to assist with issues/bugs like I have been already, but I'm not a robotic relay machine to the docklike developers.
Docklike Taskbar for Xfce (xfce4-docklike-plugin) is...
a application/task list plugin that can replace the old Windows Buttons plugin on Xfce.
Behaves similarly to many other desktop environments and operating systems. Wherein all application windows are grouped together as an icon and can be pinned to act as a launcher when the application is not running. Commonly referred to as a dock.
You can find out more about it on our short
Wiki entry.
For more usage instructions, keyboard shortcuts, and screenshots, see:
https://docs.xfce.org/panel-plugins/xfc ... ugin/start.
Current versions available are:
Stable/Main Repo: none
MX Test Repo: 0.4.0 with Git commits up to 20211128
Report actual application issues and bugs here -
https://gitlab.xfce.org/panel-plugins/x ... n/-/issues
If you are going to report an actual bug, please check to make sure one isn't opened already, then run Xfce Panel in debugging mode, and include the relevant output in issues.
Running Xfce Panel in debugging mode:
- Open a terminal
- Quit the Xfce Panel using xfce4-panel -q
- Start the panel in debugging mode with PANEL_DEBUG=1 xfce4-panel
- Perform any actions you want to debug and copy the relevant output
- Stop debugging by pressing Ctrl^C
- Start the panel again using xfce4-panel &
The Xfce wiki has more details on panel debugging if you want to read it:

I see it tries to overwrite files from a docklike-plugin 0.1a-1, did you previously compile and install it yourself? We have never had that version in our repos.
We had someone report they used then MX-19 version when I posted the MX-21 thread and I tested the install myself, but can test again.

It is possible that I did... but I don't remember for sure :-)

@unnameduser then I would start there, you might want to completely purge that version and try again.
Sorry not at a computer now and won’t be for awhile.
But it did install fine before for me and at least one other reported user just this week.

@SwampRabbit Tnx! I've located old docklike-plugin on my system. Luckily, it was purgeable. After that, install was successful as expected. Cheers!
