Got the shot follow up

As I stated in my previous thread, this is about the side effects of the various available vaccines but not about the merits of accessing vaccines in general.

I got my booster shot yesterday and since AstraZenica is no longer available, I had to choose between Moderna and Pfizer. To help make my choice, I reread the old thread and chose Moderna due to its having fewer instances of side effects mentioned. The pharmacist that administered the shot told me that I was likely to have a sore arm today. She wasn't overplaying it -- I can't lift my left arm above my nipples and getting dressed this morning was an adventure.

The bonus for those of us that live in Ontario, Canada is that the province will email you your vaccine passport / certificate on the same day you get your booster, regardless of which type of health card you have. You no longer have to do the bureaucrat polka in order to get it if you have a red and white one like me.

Two intial shots and booster. No worse than a mild sore arm at the injection location in each case. One should know that the raection will not be the same for everyone.

... Here in France, I have to wait for the booster ... it's very difficult to have an appointment on line.

Fortunately in US it is pretty simple. No waitlist or any special conditions, I just scheduled it and got the shot at a pharmacy the next day. Hopefully the situation will improve in other countries too.

No problem getting all three shots plus the flu one here in the UK, and of course payment covered by the NHS.

Here, in the mid-USA, I got my Moderna booster about two weeks ago. The pharmacist that did the injection told me the booster was about half the dose of the first two shots, so since my reaction to the first two was minor I might not feel much, in any, affect from the third. Well, the third felt about the same to me as the first two. Mild fatigue for a few hours approximately twelve hours after getting the shot. Also, a slightly sore arm for two or three days. Not so sore that it limited motion, but if pressed upon, the soreness was evident.
