Is encrypting the btrfs a non-functional option?

But then I realized I hadn't setup luks encryption. Subsequently multiple reattempted installations fail, trying to use encryption. D_O says somewhere here it doesn't work yet. But a search on the site doesn't provide any info on the matter.
