Sublime Text 4

#1 Post by manyroads »

Perhaps others might enjoy having access to sublime text 4 via the MX repos. Instructions for install and build are here:

@manyroads can't find the source code, just the tarball which includes executables.

It looks like most Distros are extracting the tarball into /opt.

I can't find info on redistributing their tarball yet.

If anything in the meantime they have a flatpak thats an option for now OR maybe we can create a routine in MXPI Popular Apps since they already have a repo of their own.

sublime is not open source and so cannot be in our repos. maybe a mxpi->popular apps routine in the future.

+1. Cudatext is not a complete sublime clone but it shares many, if not most, of its features and adds quite a few of its own.

And it's cross platform. And Open Source. See https://cudatext.github.io/ and https://wiki.freepascal.org/CudaText for details.
