Here's my dumb question for this month - Does anyone know where I can download an eBay add-on for Waterfox that will be for the eBay here in the U.S.? If there is one. I haven't been able to find it.
When I go to the Mozilla add-ons page and select the eBay icon, I get this page:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... ent=search notice the source info on that page .... and then when I click on the icon in my search box, I get this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=boot+jack (I'm searching for a new boot jack). I never get the U.S. eBay page unless I revise the above address to .com instead of .co.uk! I guess I could continue to do it that way, but it is kinda annoying. I don't see any other eBay selection in the add-ons (for the U.S.), but maybe someone out there in the ether might know of one. Maybe it's a Waterfox problem with Mozilla, but I don't understand why that would be, since I think Waterfox is a fork of FireFox.
Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

Is there no available option to search under ebay in about:preferences -> search -> search shortcuts and select ebay?
When enabled you should be able to use it by typing "@ebay my search string" in the address bar

Thanks Dave, I can get as far as search, but don't see 'search shortcuts and select ebay' in any options. I tried to change it with-in ebay, but no joy. Thanks for trying ;>).

Search shortcuts should be a heading under the "search" tab which contains a list of various search engines/websites.

Maybe I am using a different version....

Edit:
After rereading the first post I missed (or overlooked) that you where using waterfox not firefox.

Edit #2:
Installed waterfox (waterfox-g3?) and it seems to call the search shortcuts portion "One-Click Search Engines". After selecting ebay, double clicking the end of the ebay list items (in the Keyword column) I could assign @ebay to make the shortcut. Then in the url bar typing "@ebay dog" searched ebay for dogs.

Edit #3:
You can add a bookmark for ebay as well and use that as a search item.
Press control + shift + o to open the bookmarks manager
right click on a blank spot in the list and select "New Bookmark"
Name: Whatever you want to call it (Ebay)
Location: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=%s (This is the ebay.com search url, %s is a placeholder value. It must be there after the search url to function)
Tag: again whatever you like
Keyword: @ebay (Or whatever keyword you would like to use)
The press add.
After it is added you should be able to search in the same way by typing @ebay search-term-here (tested @ebay dog).

Actually this bookmark option works for most websites with a search field. For example you could use the forum search by adding a bookmark like:
Name: MX Forum
Location: htps://forum.mxlinux.org/search.php?keywords=%s (Note: t removed to prevent forum auto formatting )
Tag: Forums
Keyword: @MX
