Since the upgrade to Firefox 89 when I have a message or two open and a notification arrives it freezes access to the messages - I can see them but cannot enter a reply.
If I refresh the Firefox page then, unless another notification pops up, I can then reply to a message.
Anyone else observing this behavior?
Any suggestions as to how to remediate this?
Thanks

Custom-built PC w/i7 CPU running MX-16.
Re: Firefox 89 - Notifications Freezing Messaging
Please post your Quick System Info. Also, exactly what notifications are you getting? Are they MX system notifications or are they coming from Firefox? Are they coming from one particular website? A screenshot would be helpful.
Please read the Forum Rules, How To Ask For Help, How to Break Your System and Don't Break Debian. Always include your full Quick System Info (QSI) with each and every new help request.
Re: Firefox 89 - Notifications Freezing Messaging
Not the same behaviour as yours, but mine is freezing several times a day. Sometimes taking out the whole system. Very annoying and introduced with the 89 update.
Re: Firefox 89 - Notifications Freezing Messaging
I installed Edge Chromium (Beta on MX Linux & DEV on Fedora) and imported all data from Firefox...

Experiencing occasional freezes here too, starting with Firefox 89. Not related, as far as I can tell, to any particular trigger though, it just seemed to happen out of the blue. However, for the pasts couple of days things have been running smoothly.

The notifications are from Facebook - notifying of new posts.JayM wrote: Sat Jun 19, 2021 8:59 pm Please post your Quick System Info. Also, exactly what notifications are you getting?
