[solved] firefox 88.0.1 stopped loading MEWE site  [Solved]

#1 Post by galen »

strange.
Firefox will not load anything from MEWE site
http://mewe.com
https://mewe.com
Palemoon will load it

I've restarted Firefox in debug mode, nothing
I've checked /etc/hosts , nothing
no VPN blocks
no router blocks
no DNS blocks (I use 3 differing ones)

wouldnt an user agent block from the site show up in debug console?

where should I look ne

I would check your browser extensions, especially if using an add blocker.

What does curl (site) in terminal output show? If you get html, then at OS level all's ok.

Maybe some extension or FF settings blocking it?

Probably a dumb suggestion, but did you clear your cache & cookies? (I didn't see any mention of that. Does debug mode do that for you? Incognito mode does. Maybe try that. Or, just clear everything.).

Edit: Upgrading probably doesn't clear cache & cookies? (Might still be worth trying?)
