Posting, User Guide, and stuff

Hi Guys...

Being a newbie is a pain and I suppose it is to everyone involved...

But I had an almost impossible search for the "new post" button... I think I found it just by accident, what is a simple way to find it?

Also I'm wondering if there is a way to add page numbers to the "User Guide" or if the is a numbered version available...

I would be glad to to add page numbers myself to the existing file if there is some way to do that and make it available to all...
Regards,

Bill W :snail:

For a New Topic just click on the Forum you are going to post in. The New Topic button is on the left hand side. For a new post in an existing topic. when in a topic, the Post Reply button as at the top left.
This has been a question that I have received by email many times. It is really quite simple but because of unfamiliarity with the phpBB software I suspect new users do not realize that new posts are started by starting a topic and the organization of the Forum is in sections by subject.

Hi richb

Thanks for your quick reply...

Now I know...the Forum is really nice, but it is not too user friendly...

Like any site of this type, time to become familiar with it is required. Usually a short time. We have been in existence for almost 15 years with this basic format and it has served the community well in my opinion. I do not consider it "not user friendly".

Ok then, it is just not Bill W and others like me, friendly...

Really like MX though...

Of course you know that being around for 15 years is not what makes MX great...or anything else for that matter...

I agree with the others, i had the same problem today posting a post which i have still not done. Other OS System forums usually have a create a post box so i would like to put it forward as a bright idea see as you are open to improvement suggestions?. I will follow your instructions and see if it works.

Not only is this an old thread, but you might want to look up at the top of the Forum page: see the little "Create new topic" box?!

Locking topic.
