Can't run 5.x versions of Steam Proton

Hello my fellow users,
unfortunately I have a weird problem with Steam. In my fully updated MX 19.3 KDE Edition, on a purer AMD Syteme (Ryzen 2600, RX-580, 16GB RAM) and everything Mesa / Vulkan related installed that isn't referring to NVIDIA, I can't get a single game to run if I use the default Proton Experimental. Only through trial and error I finally realized that no Steam Proton version later than 4.11-13 (the newest working I have available) is working - The whole 5.x series is definitely not working. Currently the workaround is to set this as default Steam Play Compatibility layer, however this won't work with newish games. Does anybody else has the same issue and another solution? I guess it is related to the Mesa-Vulkan version available in the MX Repo's, but am not sure about that - The Proton Github requires Mesa 19.1 and available is 20.1.8, but the requierements page was last edited over a year ago... In case it is about the Mesa-Vulkan-Drivers version, it would be great to have them in the MX-Test-Repo, but it of course can be fully unrelated to that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
