When I click the ext-hd in dolphin, it requires me root password to mount.
Is there any way I can mount it like a USB disk, without input root password?
And is there easy way (not modify /etc/fstab) to add/remove this disk to automount for user?

MX Tweak, 2nd tab: you can check the box allowing non-root users to mount other internal drives if you simply want to mount other devices on an adhoc basis without root. YOu may wish to test it to see if works for external USB drives. AFAIK, USB devices won't have issues at all if they were FAT32 formatted. Therefore, my question is whether the USB device was formatted with ext4 or any other Linux file system?

If the other device is formatted with ext3 or ext4, then you may not be able to write on the same if it was created/formatted while you were using different user name/account in Linux or on another linux system with different uid or gid (user id/group id). If you find you can't write on the mounted device, read the next 2 links to understand the issue and change the file permissions on the device.

Assuming there are no file permissions issues or you have sorted them out, you can automount a specific device that will be connected all the time, using the preinstalled Disk manager. That is a graphical interface tool that will edit fstab for you.

it works well, both non-root mount and automount. Thanks.
