It's great! It's the best distro/DE I've ever used. My thanks and appreciation once more to the devs!

Thanks, it's always nice to hear that what you do is of use to somebody. I started the KDE project because I knew that there are some fans around (especially former MEPIS users) who prefer KDE environment and would like to have something set up from the start instead of having to install KDE and have a bunch of Xfce and KDE tools mixed together.

Nice job, Adrian! While I usually use Xfce or even IceWM these days most of the time, the overhead to run KDE is minimal, the procedure is clean, and so I have kept two instances of MX Linux on my hard drive (and two additional instances of antiX too). On top of this, I have working USB instances of everything, which were used to install each system. As a matter of fact I am running MX KDE from a live USB and it is working very well. Keep up the excellent work!

I too want to praise the initiative to make a "pure" KDE version. I have tried a couple of distros with KDE but there was always some problem, mainly that suddenly after a couple of weeks computer started to freeze when waking up from sleep for some reason. There were some fixes one could try but no one had a simple answer to why it happened. With MXKDE there is no problems whatsoever! I see that as the core of MX-linux is very well built by very skilled people.

I've seen some reports of freezes, but I think it was mostly due to video card/driver and not related to KDE itself.
For me I could use any DE, (as long as they have a desktop with icons -- that was one of my first bone with KDE 4 icons on desktop were an afterthought, a decent launcher and a panel) I don't mind Xfce, it's actually pretty good, but when I stated to use KDE again it was like coming back home, I really like Dolphin, I like the themes and looks of KDE animations, how I can go on top-left corner to show all the windows, etc. I don't even use all the features like different activities but it's nice to know they are there.

MX KDE has turned out to be an excellent distro for me. I had never used KDE regularly and thought I'd give MX's version a try. The more I played and explored, the more I liked it. Fast, low on resources, having all the MX tools available and so easy to configure, I installed it. I'm running everything from Remmina to Slack to Outlook (Ice SSB) plus quite a few more that I need for work and/or play and performance is terrific. And my desktop looks pretty great too. So a big thanks to Adrian and the MX team!

Good morning all
what is the linux kernel used when installing the KDE version? Is it the stable Debian kernel or an AHS? If you want the stable Debian kernel you have to install it manually?

Okay, so automatically we will have the AHS kernel, and not the Debian Stable stable kernel. Pity.
