Request: QUCS - SPICE

#1 Post by asen0v »

Qucs is an integrated circuit simulator which means you are able to setup a circuit with a graphical user interface (GUI) and simulate the large-signal, small-signal and noise behaviour of the circuit. After that simulation has finished you can view the simulation results on a presentation page or window.

Is it the one from the link you provided or is it this one?

The one you linked looks like Qucs, the one I just posted looks like Qucs - SPICE

Both can probably be packages, but the later looks to be much easier to get done sooner.

I'll take this one. I'll get started on it tonight. I should have some time tonight and tomorrow.

I did version 0.0.19 for the MX 15 and 17 main repos, so you should be able to use it as a template for the latest 0.0.20 release. If you do so, don't forget to update the debian/copyright file to 2020.

Thats QUCS though, not QUCS - SPICE, which is a newer fork and seems to be a lot harder to package so far.

The OP asked for QUCS - SPICE, but provided the link for QUCS.

QUCS 20 can probably be built using your template for 19, but QUCS - SPICE seems to be a troublesome package so far.

Question I have at this point is do I want to get the qucs - spice to work or just an updated qucs?

For now, at least do the regular QUCS, since it should be an easy one.

qucs 0.0.19 for MX19 is now available in the MX-19 Test repository.
