VMware wont let me complete installation?

HI,

New to the forums.

I have just come around to Antix, and am really enjoying it.

I am a relative Linux newbie, but am beginning to get some of linux ;-)

I have previously been using some ubuntu derived distros, so forgive my naiveness about Antix.

I have tried to search the forum but could not find any answer to my question, which is this.

I wanted to try Vmware workstation Pro.

I downloaded the Bundle.

Manged to execute and run in it the terminal- it said installation successful.

I then went through the VMware installation screens- fine- until I got to the final page where I need to click ''finish''.

The install refuses to go beyond this?, and will not continue.?

The same with VMware player.

I have redownloaded the bundle several bundles, in case of corruption, but I get the same result

I am stumped- anybody any ideas?

It could be that VmWare products expect Debian distros to be running System D, and it can't install and start its services using MX's shims.

Just a guess.
