Is there an AHS repo for antix

I know there is one for MX but is there one I can add to antix?
Can I add the MX repo on a antix system?
How would I do that or what is the answer?

The closest to antiX AHS there is that I'm aware of is the Debian Sid-based version. If you add MX repos to antiX you'll probably break it. The two distros have many things in common as they're sister-distros (antiX devs have been collaborating with former MEPIS devs to make MX) but they're not the same. That's why the antiX repo that used to be included with MX has been removed, to let the two distros go their own directions independently of one another.

Maybe I should ask the question this way:
I am trying to test out antix on a live usb.
For my system I need the kernel AHS uses to get the system to boot.
I am unfamiliar with antix.
How do I get the newer kernel in antix?

Synaptic Package Installer should show available kernels in a search. You'll want to also install the headers for whatever kernel you choose. There are a lot of 5.x kernels there.

Search for linux then scroll down to the Ls, past all the libraries. Look for linux-headers and linux-image. I don't remember whether Synaptic gives the option to also install recommended packages but if it does I would say yes.

BTW, IIRC Synaptic is found in Applications -> System in the menu.

MX needs a special program to update a kernel on a Live USB; I'm sure antiX has the same thing.
Or you can install antiX in a virtual machine, upgrade the kernel in that, remove the old one, and make a snapshot of that install to install onto your USB.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I will probably try the Virtualbox idea.
This laptop I have is having difficulty with the different kernels.
Anything above 5.4 and sound won't work. Anything below 5.4 and it won't boot.
It seems like anything above 5.4 and persist won't work on a live usb.
I have a lot of testing to do and it gets more complicated everyday.
Hopefully one day all the devs out there will catch up with my system and get it working completely.
I have a lot of posts scattered out there on all my different projects on this machine.

I used Virtualbox to get the Kernel updated.
That allowed it to boot.
Problem now is I can't get persist to work with new kernel on this laptop.
I will update this post with the QSI in a few minutes.
Can I get some help with thing to try to get persist to work. I don't know what else to try unless we just say it's a no go on this laptop.

Since you are booting in UEFI mode, you will need to select the GRUB menu entry for the kernel with
Text Menus.
It will load the kernel and you will go through a series of menus to set various items, including
Persistence.

did you use live-usb-maker to create the live-usb?
almost sounds like a video problem...maybe try the failsafe options...

FWIW... antiX is a lost cause for me with my limited skills... and my i5-gen10 intel box.

Yes I used the live-usb maker to make the usb.
Here are the screen shots from trying what you wanted. Hope this helps. Let me know what to try next.

Yeah I haven't figured this image thing out yet.
The second screen is as far as it gets after I hit F10 to continue.
