Minimize application to second panel

I am slowly learning how to use MX Linux, and loving it so far! I'm running 18.3, and this is my first post. Not sure if what I want is even possible, but I haven't found the answer.

I have 2 panels, and on one of them I keep stuff like launchers to Spotify, Pandora, etc. Is there a way to make applications that launch FROM a launcher on panel 2 minimize back to panel 2 only? Likewise, applications launched from panel 1 should minimize to panel 1 only. Possible?

In other words, put windows buttons on both panels, but have them work independently and connected to a designated panel? What I am getting now is simply the same redundant windows buttons on both panels.

I don't think Xfce has that configuration option.

You're not limited to just the panels from XFCE. You can mix/match with a dock of your choice (I use PLANK) to achieve the effect you want. I have a XFCE panel for one set of icons to launch programs and my main programs are on a PLANK dock, then each panel controls the program icons that they're associated with. and they are separate.

Right-click on the panel, select Panel Preferences/ Other tab, select Window Buttons, click its Edit icon )mouse-hover over icons to see a tooltip popup that tells you what they are.) Explore your Filtering settings. Perhaps you can make it do what you want through some experimentation with those.
