Info for Admins. Repos in Switzerland

#1 Post by tolcan »

Dear Team,

You have 2 repos in Switzerland.
One of them is at ETH Zurich. It is fine.

But, there is a problem with the other one in easyname.ch.
It has been going on for months. If you download MX and Install, it is selected as default repo.
It might be challenging for new comers.
Updates are not working properly and causing other problems too.
FYC

I just wanted to inform you.
Thanks for your effort.
Best wishes.

This is correct. At least since one year default MX repo is mirror.easyname.ch and has issues here too, in Liechtenstein & Switzerland.

Every MX installation I change repo to mx-linux.ethz.ch this works stable, all packages available and no timeouts.

mirror.easyname.ch has timeouts or some repos, packages are could not be found.
