installation of ssh-conduit-antix

#1 Post by metro »

hello

i tried to mark ssh-conduit antix for installation in the synaptics package manager, but it wasnt possible due to unresolvable dependencies.
The dialog box said:

Code: Select all

ssh-conduit-antix:
Depends: sshuttle but it is not installable
Depends: ssvnc but it is not going to be installed
Depends: x11vnc but it is not going to be installed
 Depends: openssh-server
after that i tried to install ssh conduit using mx package installer but failed again.
final lines of /var/log/mxpi.log showed this:

Code: Select all

2020-02-03 18:32:48.585 DBG default: "Err:14 http://deb.debian.org/debian buster/main Translation-en\n Connection failed [IP: ......]"
2020-02-03 18:32:49.125 DBG default: "Reading package lists..."
2020-02-03 18:32:49.235 DBG default: ""
2020-02-03 18:32:49.247 WRN default: "E: Failed to fetch http://deb.debian.org/debian/dists/buster/main/i18n/Translation-en Connection failed [IP: .....]\nE: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead."
problem updating sources
i had installed my default 64 version of mxlinux a couple of days ago.
an ubuntu forum has a similar problem and suggests to look into /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
i am a little stuck after that. what system information may i need to produce.
thanks for any suggestion.

for whatever reason you couldn't connect to the debian repos. you might want to wait a while and see if they come back.

all of those packages are in the debian repo.

FYI: mx "test" repo is not the same thing as debian testing repo.

I think you need to figure out why you can't connect to the debian repo.
everything is there

Code: Select all

┌─[dolphin@mx]─[06:35:18 am]─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────[~]
└─> sudo apt install ssh-conduit-antix
[sudo] password for dolphin:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following additional packages will be installed:
  libvncclient1 openssh-server openssh-sftp-server sshuttle ssvnc stunnel4 tk tk8.6 x11vnc
  x11vnc-data xterm
Suggested packages:
  molly-guard monkeysphere rssh autossh logcheck-database xfonts-cyrillic
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  libvncclient1 openssh-server openssh-sftp-server ssh-conduit-antix sshuttle ssvnc stunnel4 tk
  tk8.6 x11vnc x11vnc-data xterm
0 upgraded, 12 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 3,689 kB of archives.
After this operation, 10.2 MB of additional disk space will be used.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n]

Has ssh-conduit-antix been removed? It is not showing up in Synaptic and when I try "sudo apt install ssh-conduit-antix" I get "Unable to locate package ssh-conduit-antix"?

the antiX repos were removed.

however, I think we still have an entry for it in mx-packageinstaller-popular apps that will temporaily enable the antiX repo and disable after installation is finished.

Your hardware is different, this topic is very old, and it is not your topic. Please start your own with full QSI added, thanks.
