The comments say the patch also applies "as is" to 4.19 kernels, and I do have it downloaded, so it's possible I could patch our 4.19 kernel and rebuild it if an updated kernel doesn't incorporate it in a timely matter in Buster.
Is anyone experiencing those issues with an Ryzen chipset?

Re: Hope for Recent AMD Systems with Audio Problems
Dang, I guess I lucked out. I just rebuilt my older 4th-gen Intel desktop into a Ryzen 5 3600 with an X470 board (and I'm using the built-in realtek audio), and have had zero audio problems, in or out. I'll grab a couple other analog mics I have lying around and see if there's any difference, but so far MX has been smooth as silk on the new platform (I'm using the default 4.19 kernel)
