DeaDBeeF 1.8.0 is out! (2019/04/06) Version bump in the repo, please? Thank you.

Thank you for including DeaDBeef into the repos! :yay: Especially since I can't find it in Debian's official repos.

(wall of text removed as per request - thank you)

deadbeef-1.8.0-1 is already in our test repos. You can use MX Package Installer to download & install it. - mike

Hi, thank you for the quick reply and surprising response! I don't have MX Package Installer on my box, as I usually just stick to apt and/or Synaptic and generally remove anything I won't be using.

What would the repo URL be, please, so I may add it to apt's sources.list? Thank you. Edit: Added [SOLVED] to the OP title.

Speaking as a Mod, could you please avoid long posts (use a link instead) and colors? It's both hard and annoying to read.

Thanks.

If you are running MX Linux, you have MX Package Installer on your system.
Click The Start Button then
select MX Tools
Click MX Package Installer (it's in the the Software group)
enter your root pwd
Select MX Test Repo
Type deadbeef in the search box then I selected the gtk3 version and then
click install
The app will prompt you to continue Y/N? (Enter Y and hit enter)
Once it's finished, click OK, Close, Close
<done>

Thank you for the step-by-step instructions. No, I don't have the MX Package Installer on my system. In MX Tools > Software is:

- Fix GPG Keys
- Repo Manager

As I mentioned in my previous post, I generally remove anything I'm not using from my box.

Ah, I see it now! (via Synaptic in Settings/repos/ticking the test repo box...and it was right there, when checking the "mx.list" file)

Apologies for being slow :turtle: and not checking locally, first. Apologies for posting a wall of text, using color, using bold, etc. I'm new to MX and should just rely on searching the forums+search engine first. Thanks for the kind replies and your time.
