I can't install MX Linux 18

I'm stuck at this screen! I tried many times and I always get stuck on this...
Desktop PC, 2.8Ghz CPU, 2GB ram, Radeon GPU, it's a pretty old computer though!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How old? any idea about the name,brand? Can you boot with anything else? Might be a non-pae ISO is needed?

Does the same USB thingy works on a different computer? Maybe there's something wrong either with the downloaded ISO (did you check the checksum?) or with the device itself.

Let's try to narrow down where the problem is. Use the boot option "bp=b8". This will get you to a bash shell before the script that populates /home/demo runs. Try to run that script manually with:
If the script runs to completion then we know the problem is outside the script. Otherwise there is something in the script that is hanging.
You can also use the boot parameter "v=8" which will cause much more information to be sent to the screen.

Its at least 10 years old, found it on my loft and thought i give it a new lease of live with MX but...
Unfortunately I cant boot nothing else on it, even Win 7, XP!

Yes it does, its working fine on another desktop pc!

Faulty disk(?), bad sector, maybe, can you do a disk check from a running 'live' Linux(?).

Damn thing wont work no matter what i throw at it! Obviously is something very wrong so I decided to take it to the recycling centre!!
