Deadbeef 1.8

I see that after 3 years Deadbeef has a new release: 1.8. The thing is: it requires libavcodec58 and MX uses 57. Are there any plans of including Deadbeef 1.8 in the stable repo? Thanks!

Now I see that it's 64bit only. That might complicate things.

It's been in MX Test Repo for a couple of weeks since Stevo announced it here and on Twitter, has been working fine.
Could be moved up as far as my experience is concerned.

Been using DeadBeef 1.8 for the past week - 64bit thinkpad w520.
Absolutely no issues. The headphone plugin b2sb is great as well.
