I thought I'd start a thread where folks can share appimages they are using, testing, deleting, or whatever.
I have just downloaded a couple of new and interesting, to me, applications. They may be available in other forms, but I prefer testing with appimages because they seem not to break things. Because they are all open source you can be assured my sales commission will increase my personal wealth enormously.
Anyway here are the three new appimages I'm trying:
Qtractor: (a music production environment built on QT
Qtractor is an Audio/MIDI multi-track sequencer application written in C++ with the Qt framework. Target platform is Linux, where the Jack Audio Connection Kit (JACK) for audio, and the Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) for MIDI, are the main infrastructures to evolve as a fairly-featured Linux desktop audio workstation GUI, specially dedicated to the personal home-studio.

Notable: Notes (quoting the dev)
The markdown-based note-taking app that doesn't suck. I couldn't find a note-taking app that ticked all the boxes I'm interested in: notes are written and rendered in GitHub-flavored Markdown, no WYSIWYG, no proprietary formats, I can run a search & replace across all notes, notes support attachments, the app isn't bloated, the app has a pretty interface, tags are indefinitely nestable and can import Evernote notes.

You're welcome @Jerry3904, I hope folks pitch in.... two of the three I just loaded also 'automagically' link themselves into the Whiskermenu/ Desktop. Pretty darn 'cool'. (more old guy terminology

Appimage is my favorite concept for the stand alone appli (with usually all needed libraries inside), it's useful into the user's sessions. So it is independent of the platform/admin.
But here, into MX/antiX no need to have some extra appimages, Stevo, Mike, Time and the team fill the big repositories. ;-) ... except to do some tests before.
EDIT: I use XnViewMP Appimage (or deb).

I run Avidemux from an appimage.
It works well.
Avidemux is a free video editor designed for simple cutting, filtering and encoding tasks. It supports many file types, including AVI, DVD compatible MPEG files, MP4 and ASF, using a variety of codecs.

Kate is a multi-document editor part of KDE since release 2.2. Being a KDE application, Kate ships with network transparency, as well as integration with the outstanding features of KDE. Choose it for viewing HTML sources from konqueror, editing configuration files, writing new applications or any other text editing task. You still need just one running instance of Kate. I've been using Kate back from my Windows time and really like it.

@Moltke. Yes, Kate is an excellent editor. The appimage is a more efficient way of installing it I am sure. I installed KDE Standard with MXPI and Late it came in. But I also use Dolphin and some other KDE apps. Probably could have installed most with an appimage.

Indeed. Kate is one of the best editors I've ever tried/used and without all the kde stuff even better. I like sublime text too but to be honest the editor I used the most is NANO.

bitwarden and wire are the two appimages i use. Both working fine for me.

I was going to test the Musescore 3.0.2 AppImage, since it isn't in Debian and apparently will need Qt 5.8 anyway, but it keeps giving me a zero byte file.

I have 2 appimages: digikam ( photo editor) and wxmaxima ( computer algebra system). Both work very well.
