Added a video on how to create panel launchers to switch back and forth between an XFCE and Kwin window manager.
The launcher creation process is generic for any launcher.

Thanks Rich for creating these videos, they are great resources. I started to become a fan of video tutorials, it's very nice to be able to see what is going on rather than just read about it.
Re: Kwin and XFCE switching launchers for XFCE Panel
Glad you like them. They are fun to do and I hope helpful. I must say that DO was my inspiration to try my hand at it.

Re: Kwin and XFCE switching launchers for XFCE Panel
Is there an easy way to install Kwin? I don't see it under MX Tools? Thanks.
Re: Kwin and XFCE switching launchers for XFCE Panel
You have to install it with synaptic. The package is kde-window-manager. It will bring in the KDE dependencies required. You may want to backup your system first. Snapshot is an excellent tool for that. You will also want to install systemsettings so you can adjust desktop effects, and other aspects of kwin.JLS727 wrote:Is there an easy way to install Kwin? Re: Kwin and XFCE switching launchers for XFCE Panel
I can only add that I run Kwin and have System Settings without (as I perceive it) problems. I did not stop there however, I used the PI to install KDE-Standard with some additions.
Yes, even I am dishonest. Not in many ways, but in some. Forty-one, I think it is.
