How to get rid of the Windows 10 upgrade notifier

For those with dual-boot or Windows machines that want nothing to do with windblows 10, getting rid of the pesky notifier is an easy task, format the hard disk and install Linux.
But if you really need to have windows, you can truly remove it and stop it from coming back.
in the offending Windows machine, open a command prompt and issue the following:
wusa /uninstall /kb:3035583 /quiet /forcestart
When the machine restarts, the pesky notifier will be gone, but only half the job is done at this stage, you will still need to disable the update from reappearing and I'll edit this post to show how when I get back from my kids soccer game.
--edit----
Open windows update and it may already be showing some important updates are available, click the line to see what waiting to be installed and you should see an update preselected for installation with (KB3035583) tagged onto the tail of the text. If you don't see it, you may have to run the check for updates first. Remove the tick, then right click the line and select Hide update and your system will be liberated from the monstrosity of Windows 10. Just to make doubly sure, you may have to hide yet another update. Here's what I found on another customers PC that I manage
