I sent the 19.10.17mx19+1 update to Tim (timkb4cq) about an hour ago.
It looks like the package list (
http://mxrepo.com/mx/repo/dists/buster/ ... 4/Packages) got updated to point to the new version, but I don't see that .deb file in the pool folder yet (
http://mxrepo.com/mx/repo/pool/main/a/apt-notifier/).

EDIT> Well, i went to mx tweak and resored default panel and now it is good. May be a little too much transparency in the background with greybird-mx (but that may be on purpose). (second image)
And the icons on window buttons are too small. (but that's an xfce thing isn't it?

Why there is no option for shutdown on Laptop lid closed (in power manager settings)?
Can that be added somehow?
Also, I have set power button to shut down, and nothing happens if I press power button on laptop.

Now at least it can find the correct boot partition on the USB but then I get:
Fatal error
Encrypted device /dev/sdb2 is not a LUKS device.
I had encrypt checked in LUM so it looks like it made an encrypted partition but it can't use it for some reason.
Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to replicate this problem here although others have.
If your live-usb is at /dev/sdd then what is the output of:
Code: Select all
sudo lsblk -o name,fstype,label /dev/sdd
Here the output looks like:
Code: Select all
NAME FSTYPE LABEL
sdd
├─sdd1 ext4 MX-Live-usb
├─sdd2 crypto_LUKS
└─sdd3 vfat MX-UEFI
I think I can fix the problem once I'm able to replicate it.

That's good and time-saving info. Is it possible to preserve /home in the installer if /home is located on the root partition?
It should from past experience. I haven't had time to install MX19 rc yet.

Just to jump in as I get the same error.
Code: Select all
sudo lsblk -o name,fstype,label /dev/sdb
[sudo] password for anticap:
NAME FSTYPE LABEL
sdb
├─sdb1 ext4 antiX-Live-usb
├─sdb2 crypto_LUKS

I had to make another USB. I still get
Fatal error Encrypted device /dev/sdb2 is not a LUKS device.
Here is the lsblk output.
Code: Select all
$ sudo lsblk -o name,fstype,label /dev/sdc
NAME FSTYPE LABEL
sdc
├─sdc1 ext4 MX-Live-usb
├─sdc2 crypto_LUKS
└─sdc3 vfat MX-UEFI
I don't know if it makes any difference but this laptop is about 2010-2011 vintage and has the old style BIOS.
