Just want to share it with you in order to create some ambiance for this thread.
MX23 "sUPER Trick " or "kernel dance" if you prefer.
Thanks for watching.

Please note that:
1. we only need to know the licences for any part of your artwork that you obtained/used from another source, as well as the licence under which you wish to release your MX artwork.
2. It is not necessary to let us know the licences you purchased for your graphic tools.
I will cross-post this in the Call for Wallpapers announcement thread.

I have already posted some wallpapers of mine in another thread:
https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=71977 .
The problem is, I've used the old logo. So I've got a question: is it required to change it to the new one, or is that old one is still acceptable?

@kobaian
There is a way to not include logos in your wallpaper.
If I remember correctly, MX-21 recommended a method that does not include the logo.
(Except when featuring the logo itself)

Ok, you're right. I'll probably just replace the files with originals without the logo at all.

I look forward to seeing the no-logo originals in this thread! I missed your Four seasons thread previously and there are some great pictures there.
During the MX21 submissions, it was already stated that we would prefer the wallpapers not have the logo stamped in the corner. So now we are going fully no-logo for MX23.

For the last 3 submissions, I've also accepted 1920x1080, so I don't have an issue with it. There are some of that size in previous wallpaper packs, in fact. I just don't advertise it as it's not our preference.
I think it's ok.

6903.jpg
Hey, Freja!
I can certainly fix it, though it's just a bit of a pain because I'd need to get the images together again and recreate the image. I usually don't keep the raw .pdn files once I'm satisfied with the picture in order to conserve space and because I find I never need the raw file anyway to recreate the image from scratch. I can look at something and I'll usually know almost exactly what I did.
TL;DR - I can fix it, no problem, but it's a bit annoying. Are you sure you really want this?

The dragonfly looks like really praying!
I haven't not said it in a past, but I say it now.
It doesn't important if the submissions is built-in or not.
Than important is "Your wishes to make make it (MX) better".
Submissions can't judge by technique alone.
Rather than "personal desire to be rewarded",
We(MX) will move forward with the "Wishes to make better products for everyone".
May our prayers be heard!
If it's not fun, it's meaningless.
let's have fun.
PS.
I don't care if my submissions built in or not.

Hi,
First, excellent submissions by all! Wow!
I have a selection of 4K (3840x2160) Backgrounds that all been shot by me and are freely provided under a creative commons license. Some of these are provided in AV Linux and MXDE themes but I'd love to share them with MX. They are placed on my own hosting and TBH I don't want to take the time to make several dozen forum-friendly sized thumbnails, you can view them in the link provided and please feel free to use any of them in MX-23 if they are useful. Note that some have been treated with vignettes and gradients to make them Icon and Conky friendly..

Wow, Hand-painted oil painting! I was waiting for it!
I like somewhat lonely atmosphere too.
But I think it would have been better without the text.
There is no copyright issues if you draw your own pictures.
(Personally, I would love to see your "non-motif abstract-painting”.)

If this work is needed by everyone, I will
contact her directly.
The exclusion in the licence should not apply to MX. MX is not sold, and it is not a wallpaper /stock photo platform. We have in fact used pexels pics before. I think they were in mx18. What I do is give the artist attribution for the work in our wallpaper attribution file. I provide the artist name and link to their artist page on the photo site, and include the licence link of the photo site.
I have also got a nice library/bookshelf photo from pixabay.com, but didn't post it yet, as I don't want to draw attention away from the forum members' own submissions.

I agree with richb but I might want it darker blue and less white on the mountain tops. :-)
I sometimes wonder if we are too strict about the picture size for wallpaper.?
MX can handle almost any size, and depending on the motive and chosen adjustment other sizes could perhaps sometimes be better.
Inspired by Freja for more inspiration I bring a picture from a USB library.
Mostly I want to brag about the mother distro to the growing line of snapshot Wildflower USB-children behind it.
As long as it is for MX you can do what you want with the picture.

I've heard from other development members that "probably a new logo will be adopted."
Also, the MX-23 alpha2 has a new logo on panel.
but I have yet to hear an official DO's view. (Blog etc.)

@AlphaElwedritsch I think you can take it that the logo as found in MX23a2 start button and boot splash will be used.
@Auro Kumar Sahoo the cardboard wallpapers do make me think of childrens' art projects in the library, which links to the "Libretto" codename. I'm just wondering if they can be updated in some way, something added, to make it more relevant to MX23.
But I don't have any ideas right now.

I would randomize the colors the transparencies a bit of blur soft, gentle edges - maybe a dash of multiply or other blending of layers?

I'm afraid when there are one or two bars, there is to much noise on the picture. And after applying de-noise effect it looks more like a painting than a relief.

Such awesome artwork! Thanks all!
We have more than enough, and the submission window will close in about 19+ hours.
@8bit we will not be able to use those 2 music-related pics you posted. For the first pic posted, you don't have the actual creator's identity/source. For the second (notes jumping off page), I can confirm it is by VladStudio (since I downloaded it for my own use long ago from his site), and unless you get express permission from him to use it in the release of the distro, I don't think his pics can be distributed without payment.

@Freja You changed the posted slanted logo picture many times. I do like the final one, but what if I would also like you to submit an earlier darker version that has now disappeared? Do you have copies of your older versions?

So let me share an idea. There are many amazing abstract or MX-logo-based graphics, there are also many landscape/nature photos. I think that some of the latter could be renamed for better fitting to the "libretto" topic. Because "libretto" is a story behind a piece of music, like opera, ballet, cantata etc. and not the music itself, the nature and landscape photos could be easily thought of a visual llustration for some piece of music.
So let me rename some pictures of mine:
The moment of spring could be changed to
The Rite of Spring,
Pink landing field to
Flight of the Bumblebee
and
Green Salad to
Madame Butterfly
.
I think others could be also invited to rethink the titles of their wallpapers.
