MX Desktop Respins (list)
Re: MX Desktop Respins (list)
@rasat Would you be so kind as to remove all 'repin' references to my earlier works? Thank you.
When/ and or if, I generate new, current respins, I'll post them here. For now, all my previous work remains accessible in my knowledgebase on:

Re: MX KDE
Thanks Adrian!
But yeah, I got the KDE Plasma Desktop working great on both MX-17 and MX-18, but always had a kink or two to work out. My friends and family loved it though and got completely off Windoze forever. I went off and started playing with Vanilla Debian and Arch for the last couple years, but always maintained MX Linux USBs, some with XFCE and some with KDE Plasma. When MX-19 came out I wanted to offer a nice Respin, since I have a lot of experience making and maintaining MX Linux installations running KDE Plasma, but I got caught up in other activities. Now, however, I feel I have something worth offering...
Yeah, it's a Personal Respin at lz4 compression, and it's 3.2GB in size. No, there's not a lot of extras in it though; and yes it is extremely well documented regarding everything I did. I also have General Respins made, but you can remaster your own. If anyone is super interested I'll upload the 3.1 GB General Respin at lz4 compression or the 2 GB Personal and General versions at xz compression.
I tried some of the other MX / KDE Plasma respins here, but was left unsatisfied. No offense -- it ain't easy! This one is different. It actually works.
Try it and see for yourself! https://sourceforge.net/projects/mx-19-1-kde-by-jki/

I'll probably make a video about this Respin shortly and post it on LBRY at https://lbry.tv/@Just-Kiss-It:2 and I'll probably write an article about it over on my blog-in-progress, https://just-kiss-it.github.io/u_will/, because I LOVE MX Linux! Kind of an **MX-Addict** really. The blog is just a place for an old giraffe to cavort around playfully and spout out, so NO HATE! Seriously though, it's being completely revamped, brought up to date, with better organization and a completely different backend and frontend within the next month, as long as my health agrees!
Anyway, ENJOY! I'll try to roll into the forum within the next couple days and see how this was received.
(I may have posted this in the wrong thread accidentally. Sorry!)

Re: MX Desktop Respins (list)
When visiting the page of the "respin"; the title of each one should be corrected because they appear as MX19.3 when in reality they correspond to MX18.3
I downloaded one to try it out but was discouraged to see that it is an older version and not the new one.

No todos ignoramos las mismas cosas.

Re: MX Desktop Respins (list)
Those are Adrian's "unofficial" respins (all respins are unofficial) of MX18. He numbered them by release date which is not directly related to the MX version.
Re: MX Desktop Respins (list)
Is there a way I could get my awesomewm spin added to this list?
I posted elsewhere a while back (https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=64313) and was warned, let's say, about sharing mx-respins unofficially, but then I came across this list a few days ago.
I'm in no way, shape or form a dev and cannot offer to 'maintain' my spin, but I've been constantly tidying up my personal awesomewm spin, have created about 4 mx-specific themes to select from easily on the config file, and I am currently thinking of transitioning everything over to a build on MX-21.
It would be great to share the many hours of labour with fellow mx users.

It's a Community list, so you can PM rasat who started it and has been maintaining it since.
