You guys convinced me to give TheWord app a shot. Looks good so far. Wondering how you get the app to fill the screen though, maximize doesn't seem to work.

Thanks. :)KBD wrote: Tue Jan 08, 2019 6:03 pmThat looks good.plzd wrote: Tue Jan 08, 2019 5:37 pm
+1 -- theWord on Wine is definitely the best Bible study solution that I've found, its amazing!!! https://i.imgur.com/ZgWvQZk.png I used to use e-sword, but theWord is much better IMHO. Gone are the days of spending hundreds of $$$$ on Bible programs/modules, for me anyway.![]()
On mine, I use the three-column layout, which is the max. The column on the right is really two floating windows.KBD wrote: Tue Jan 08, 2019 7:30 pm You guys convinced me to give TheWord app a shot. Thanks. I was finally able to get it to fit the window by stretching it out at the bottom corner. Really liking it so far.paul1149 wrote: Tue Jan 08, 2019 8:03 pm

it's very similar to eSword, in that the Base program is Free, & then there is some paid Add-Ons.KBD wrote: Tue Jan 08, 2019 11:02 am
On Windows I always used e-sword. Nice program, though some Bible versions cost money even though the program itself is free.
Do make sure that you UNcheck "Use skinned window border" (setting under View/Skin on menubar) as it will potentially cause problems, especially if you use multiple monitors.KBD wrote: Tue Jan 08, 2019 9:32 pmThanks. There's lots of tweaking to do...I found all the diff features just by clicking around on all the little icons and drop-arrow buttons, etc.
EDIT: ya once you set it as I stated above you''ll be able to just double-click on title bar and theWord will then properly full screen.
