Flash seems to be buggy still, when checking on adobe it says I have it installed on Chrome, but something is off.

There it crashes and says could not load shockwave flash. I have updated flash with the MX flash manager.

I noticed when I wanted to start the webplayer of spotify, same issue there.
https://www.spotify.com/nl/redirect/webplayer/

Login and no dice.

Tried qupzilla, and that asked me to install adobe flash.
edit: disabled click to flash, now it just keeps trying to connect but does nothing.

You can (hopefully) see the flash issue when loading this flash game if you don't have a spotify account: http://www.flashgames247.com/play/16136.html

Seems it doesn't always crash on the game. *sigh* just my luck to find a good example other than spotify

here is the output from syslog when starting and crashing in chrome

I just got RC2 running; have not yet had a chance to test it thourely. But I have found 1 serious 'bug' which would prevent me from using it: The flashing rectanles that come on when it is not doing something else prevent the monitor from turning off automatically! Since I normally run 'Seti-at-Home' in the background, I can't turn off the power, and I don't want the monitor to stay on.

Not a bug, just a screensaver. Click Settings Manager > Screensavers to manage. Or: uninstall. Or: manually turn off the monitor while you are gone, which is what I do now with the MX-14 torrents.

You need another wireless driver and firmware.
Have a look at this : http://askubuntu.com/questions/44659/ho ... rd-working

Success.

No problems for me since Beta1,2, skipped RC1 and went to RC2.
Wireless no problemo on wpa2-psk network.
On this install. I will be running SeaMonkey I think out of Opt for the practise.

I installed conky-all, moc, cmus, icecream,MTPaint, xmms, so far. Listening to Chronix radio streaming through mocp as I set this install up. Here is how she looks so far

Image

Edit: Setting Up Seamonkey is a breeze in XFCE. Posting in it now. ver. 2.24. Flash 11.2 picked up with no special tweaking by me also.

It took me a while because I had to reorganize the hard disk to make room, but I finally installed RC2 to an old Pavilion, Athlon XP 2200+, VIA chipset. This is the one that wouldn't boot from pre-RC2 versions.

The install went perfectly, taking all of nine minutes. It would have been quicker if I could type faster.

Just a comment on this, Chrome comes with its own Flash removing and reading Flash won't change anything, I don't have access now to a computer but I think there is a way to change the default Flash by typing in address bar something like this chrome:/plugins and look where it gets the Flash plugin from.
