Also have a Dolphin issue. Home and all the folders in home give the result shown in pic when attempt to open them. I chose save live configuration in the install procedure. I can access those folders from rootmx21/home/richb.

Also remember to check medium from boot menu, that's probably more important because it checks the MD5 of the linuxfs file. I'm sorry but I distrust your DVD :alien:
Downloaded ISO md5 checks out. I'm too old and senile anymore to know how to check the DVD or USB. (I used the DVD last night, USB today.)

[Does anyone else remember a time long ago when I was reasonably proficient with this stuff, or am I just imagining it?]

Haven't see that without saving the save live configuration, that's probably something wrong with that procedure.

Haven't see that without saving the save live configuration, that's probably something wrong with that procedure.
Dolphin worked in the live session. I think I changed the Dolphin settings to show hidden files and changed the default view to details while Live, and did tell the installer to save changes made while Live.

on home folders: take a look at the ~/.local/share/users-places.xbel and see if the /home/demo is referenced in there

It is as an example: <bookmark href="file:///home/demo/Desktop">
As well as all the other home folders.
