Got the shot

@seaken64 Regards to cravings and the price tag, most of us are the same. However, I don't crave for the vaccine shot yet that's given for free here.

As a technician I am at several homes and visit several people per day. I'm glad I was finally able to get the vaccine after a year of risking my own health every day. I'll feel better when everyone can get vaccinated and we can get back to normal.

I guess you won't be feeling better. Not everyone wants to get the experimental shot.

When I got the first shot four weeks ago (Moderna) I had no side effects. I felt good and went right back to work. But I had dose two on Wednesday and that night I had the chills and I was dizzy. Yesterday I was very sore (although it's hard to tell if it was the vaccines since I'm sore all the time anyway) and had more chills and a temp of 101.5. I'm feeling better today but will give it another day off before I go back to work.

It's typical for the first shot to have little to no side effects (Pfizer or Moderna), with the second one getting a strong reaction. That's actually a good sign -- your body is reacting to the faux infection and is trying to fight it off, while generating antibodies against future infections. If you don't have a bit of an unpleasant reaction to the second shot, that's worrisome.

Not gotten the shot yet, just happy, because I just got word, the letter is coming in the mail today which enables me to go get the shot. Appointment made, two weeks from now is the first one, the second is on the 9th of July. Either Pfizer or Moderna, we'll see.

The doctor told me that not having an unpleasant reaction is nothing to worry about.
