Some wallpapers from my rotating wallpaper library.
I take pictures, because I can't paint :-)

All pictures are made by myself, I am the author, all rights are with me.
I make the pictures available to the MX Community for free use. They are without the MX logo, you can insert that or not, I leave that to the users ;-)

Any comment would be nice, if you like it and if I should add more pictures :-)

Very nice! Especially the building and the bee.

When I used WattOS long ago, my favourite wallpapers were their collection of insect photos!

I'm not normally a big fan of insect pictures, but that last one with the bee on the purple flowers is really gorgeous.

I can't paint or draw. I love taking photos to. Been taking photos since I was 16. First camera was a Pentax K1000. I'm in the digital world now, so I now have a Nikon D7100. Great pictures, I'm more of a scenery kind of person. Old architect and old rusty antique stuff. Not much into bugs. But I do like all your pictures, including the bugs. Can't wait to see what you share next.

My first own camera and black and white photo lab, I bought after my military service in the late 70s, was a Minolta SRT100.
In the 80s I earned a little "pocket money" on the side with fashion, sports, and weddings.

The pictures are a bit older, some with the Sony DSC-R1, Canon EOS 20D, 5DII, some with old manual lenses and so on.

As mentioned at the beginning, these images are from my library, so they are (mostly) edited so that regardless of the desktop style used, the desktop icons on the left side remain visible.
A circumstance that disturbed me with some, really nice, pictures from various archives

Not as wallpaper in my library. Spiders are not one of my favourite subjects and the (very) few pictures I have do not meet my requirements regarding motive and technical quality.
This one is the "best" one, which I kept as an example, that I don't have to work on every field ;-)

That reminds me of something. When I was in my late teens or early twenties i bought a Minolta 110 Zoom SLR camera. One day while playing with the macro setting I took a picture of a bumblebee on a dandelion. I liked how it looked so I had it enlarged to 8x10 at a camera shop, bought a cheap frame with a glass front somewhere, probably at a variety or drug store, and entered in in the photography competition at our county fair. It just sat there all week but at the end of the fair, when I went to get my picture, I found that it had a red ribbon hanging behind the frame out of sight. I'd won second prize!

Now that I know better I'm amazed that they were able to enlarge a tiny 110mm. negative to that large of a size and still have it look OK.

So to speak the MFT of the Analog Aera :-)
I never had pocket format, too much tricky stuff to develop and enlarge it myself. Analog has a different effect, well developed black/white pictures (I only did b/w in my private life, color vision weakness) looked good on 20*30 inch (50*75cm), only the tubs and the handling with the paper was "fu***ng ugly".

I was using bog-standard Kodak 110 color film cartrdges meant for Instamatic 110 cameras BTW, whatever I'd bought in a drugstore or supermarket, nothing special. I have no idea now what the film speed was or anything.

A bee for sunday is a unusual gift but if I look our flowers in the garden the bees are everyday at work and in spingtime as in summertime they are ever present and sure at work for their big 'family'. Thanks again! I was thinking that on Easter Night also the Exultet Himn speak about bees and in special way about beeswax because the Easter Candle is made by pure beeswax so it is made also by bees work. The film speed is not comparable with today's digital cameras. The 110s had between 50-400ASA. It was enough for most of us back then, no pixels were counted :-)

Sorry you soon and I'm here only now. I didn't see your answer. The original of that photo is for me the light of flowers and the seeds that are ready to fly toward their promise of Life. They remember me a very nice story about a seed of dandelion that I've read to children in the school that speak about the courage of a seed of dandelion that fel in the midst of the stones of a city pavement. He struggled to fulfill his dream of life. It is a message of Hope.

Though as a photograph 'they' are nice but I am not sure how many will love to see an insect perpetually sitting on their desktop :)

I like them, for example, otherwise I wouldn't have worked on them like that.
All the wallpapers shown here rotate in a 5 minute rhythm as my desktop background, they are not only insects :-)

I loved the insect wallpapers in WattOS (which I used many years ago) and I collected quite a few butterfly and bee wallpapers during the MX16 development (looking for wallpapers to match the "Metamorphosis" name for the release) so I was very happy that forum members Colin_UK (MX17/18 submissions) and wdscharff both contributed very nice insect WPs.
