That has occurred sporadically before, but am not seeing it now.

have you tried not playing around with mx-select-sound-card and just manipulating the audio sinks in pavucontrol? On the last tab (configuration) you can enable and disable various combinations. For instance, I have mine set to use my internal sound card for audio output only (no mic) but enabled my yeti mic for input only (it also has an output and shows up as a sound card).mklym wrote: Sat Oct 05, 2019 4:34 pm Back on the CF-31. you need to remove libreoffice-help files. for some reason unknown to me, they require a web browser and the way the dependencies are set up is stupid. they require specific web browsers in a list. waterfox isn't on it, so you either need to keep a firefox or remove the libreoffice help files.jackdanielsesq wrote: Sat Oct 05, 2019 6:09 am Greetings once again
I might have asked this previously, but could not find it via search
How do I uninstall both FF69 & ESR so that I can install Waterfox
Regards
Jack
I rebooted back into the USB stick and went to Multimedia/PulseAudio Volume Control in the main menu. It showed that the profile used is Analog Stereo Duplex. No change to the sound issue if I change profile to Analog Stereo Output. On the Playback tab, as well as the Output Devices tab, it shows the sound playing in the video. To get sound I need to go to the terminal and 'alsactl init'.dolphin_oracle wrote: Sat Oct 05, 2019 4:41 pmhave you tried not playing around with mx-select-sound-card and just manipulating the audio sinks in pavucontrol? Not sure, but i believe that Ubuntu and linux Mint choose almost the right default keyboard for the Netherlands.By the way, I just got an answer from Logitech, which might help other people with the same issue.
Basically it says:
"In order to order the US International Layout you have to select the Dutch layout when presented with the Keyboard Layout Menu. In the Netherlands most keyboards are QWERTY (US International) and that is why Dutch is listed instead of US International, as otherwise Dutch customers would not find this layout."
If that "US international, with € at 5" the proper keyboard which shall be the default for Netherland?.gsm wrote: Sat Oct 05, 2019 5:09 pm Just for your information:
I am in the Netherlands and trying to use the MX-19 Beta 3 live system in the Dutch language (Nederlands).
Selecting the Dutch language configures automatically also the Dutch Qwerty keyboard as default.
Unfortunately the Dutch layout keyboard is hardly used in the Netherlands. Almost all people in the Netherlands use the English (US) International keyboard, mostly with € at the 5 key. So i have to open the Control panel, Keyboard and add the US international, with € at 5, keyboard and then delete all other keyboards. Then remaster the USB stick live system. This is only the case in the Netherlands itself and not in the surrounding countries, like Belgium and Germany
The € can be typed by pressing the Alt key at the right of the space bar and then the 5 key.
This Alt key could also be used as the Compose key to type special characters, but that has to be configured first with Linux systems.
