Downloading now and will seed for next 30 days, then review my ISP usage...
Do I stop seeding the previous versions?
MX-14.13.97.iso
MX-14_13.98_386-xfce.iso

Jerry, MX-14 Beta 1 is your upload so you need to remove it yourself. Here's the link:

Message from your torrent client? If yes, is it because it's trying to load the old Beta 1 .torrent file and can't find it anymore on Linuxtracker?

Good, fast download. Running from it now. Looks like 17 seeders but no leechers. Will seed as long as wife doesn't squawk about it messing with her Roku stuff.

I see there is now talk of an MX-RC2 in the wind. Do you think we should stop seeding RC1?

I would recommend it; also remove the torrent from LinuxTracker.
I will take out the torrent link from the website main page until the RC2 is ready.
Thanks for keeping on top of this!

Are you going to be able to get a full, middle of the page announcement with this?
I'll seed during the day if the torrent is set up by morning (and I remember to fire up ktorrent before I leave for work).

Why is there a size difference with my downloaded RC2 [ 689 ] compared with the size stated on the download site [ 722.5 ]? My file was downloaded from the antiX sourceforge server.

It sounds like your file got corrupted or truncated. Here is the size and the md5:
Code: Select all
md5: 2c3eba4e17b6951753fc74409b5719b2
size: 722468864
I got the xdelta3 patch from here:
http://download.tuxfamily.org/antix/Testing/
That directory also has an md5 file which agrees with what I gave above. I've been seeding the torrent which has to verify the md5 sum. IMO SF can be sucky at times. You might have better luck with either bittorrent or using xdelta3.

e.g., my torrent client (qbittorrent) shows the file size in MiB=689 while Thunar shows the file size in MB=722.5 MB (722,468,864 bytes)

I'm seeding, but could seed more if they would use encrypted only in and out on their connections. Looks good on my laptop, the browser keeps shutting down, wired works but no wireless (need more time to setup).. Have not try it on the desktop as I'm seeding someone.

That's nice, tried to download again this morning with a no go, used Anti's site. What is wrong? Are they running Windows or something worse?

Are you having trouble with your ISP throttling the non-encrypted traffic?

Well I'll be, that is the same link that is on the MX web page and my bookmark for the torrent. Thanks for confirming that.

Do you think I will receive a message informing me that the torrent is back up and working?
Too late, downloaded the ISO from Anti's site, burned to a CD, booted and was playing with MX-14 before the torrent was back up.

I suspect people have been eagerly awaiting the final release judging by the level of activity today. I have seeded nearly 2 thirds of the total amount I seeded for RC2 in a 12 hour period. Having as many as 7 connections at once. Heres to its success
