I once purchased it and played it in Mandrakelinux, I believe, it was. It ran well, I remember.

One i play much is mahjongg and few times doom :) .And mostly on 2 old xp laptops starcraft with my son.
Installed supertux and removed it, why it want internet, Same reason i doubt of using steam the never explain if internet connection is needed to play and for what game. No games that use internet here!

FI ... You can play online, or offline with SuperTuxKart ... (or for offline car racings: Vdrift (simulator+game), Stuntrally, Torcs, Speed Dreams ,etc ...) ... I also like sometime playing Pinball and Aisleriot-Solitaire, RunHELI, Pacman.
