Question: ¿Will the final version of MX 19 bring PulseAudio 13.0?
We didn't plan on going with anything than the 12.2 Buster version, as far as I know.
Are there any problems with that version? You can always ask for 13.0 in the test repo, too.

I'm not sure if we have an MX 19 Nvidia driver that will build on a 5.2 kernel, though the builds work for the 5.2 Liquorix kernel on MX 18. Maybe it was something I missed in the upgrade. I installed 64-bit onto the Acer Optimus laptop and successfully used the Nvidia installer to get Bumblebee working on the 4.19 kernel. So I then searched for "nvidia" in the test repo in MXPI and upgraded all that showed up, then installed the latest Liquorix kernel and headers. However, the new nvidia-kernel-dkms built on the 4.19 kernel but not the Liquorix kernel, leading to an install failure.

Hibernation did not work immediately after enabling it in MX 19, or after a reboot, but it now works after a rather involved procedure--maybe someone can report success without all the following?
Enabled hibernation in MX Tweak. 8 GB swap partition matches system RAM. Tested then and after a reboot, did not work.
Ran "sudo dpkg-reconfigure uswsusp" and accepted all the defaults. Tested then and after a reboot, did not work.
Installed 5.2-14.2 Liquorix kernel and booted to it. Hibernation now works.
Removed Liquorix kernel and rebooted to 4.19.0-6 kernel. Hibernation still working. Am mystified why it now works.

hey guys,
i don't know if it's a repetitive question but:
i was wondering if is possible to give users more freedom on choosing the os partitions when installing through mx-installer. now only root, home, swap and boot can be defined by the user. that would be great (imo) if other directories could be assigned a mount point too when doing a fresh install.(just like the good old Debian installer)

Another user mentioned problems with keyboard control of brightness. My Thinkpad T530 doesn't dim or brighten in response to Fn+F8/F9. They work fine in MX18. Maybe it's Xfce 4.14?
In 19b2, I do get a (pseudo)brightness indicator bar at the upper right, as I would if the keystrokes were working.
The other poster mentioned a boot parameter acpi_backlight=vendor; I haven't tried that yet. did not solve this problem. The boot parameter acpi_backlight=vendor did not solve this problem.
Other than this, 19b2 looks and feels great. Just a smidge too bright.

I just rebooted and the acpi_backlight=vendor parameter didn't fix the problem, either. I don't know if that indicates Nvidia is or isn't the problem here. Actually, Dolphin Oracle, you have helped me on these forums before with a graphics problem (thanks again for that). That last time you recommended that I try the Intel driver instead of the default modsetting driver; I will try that again. Maybe it will help the other visual glitch I have with 19b2 and b1:
The "unmount" icon in the notification is duplicated, and one of them sort of sits under the update icon. I didn't search for this one, so I don't know if it's been reported yet.
Update: MX Tweak/Config Options/Use Intel Driver solved the brightness adjustment problem, but not the wonky notification icons. The choice of icon set under Appearance doesn't seem to matter, either.
