Just tested this mx23_bgn wallpaper - it looks rather low-key in the screenshot but works very well as a background. Lots of subtle texture. And it's very soothing to my eyes. Nice.

The mxline23 wallpaper - it's interesting but I think will be better with a different font. Maybe a font that looks more like handwriting?

Or maybe the beautiful Crackdown used by Utopia in the original logo?

Don't think it will fit this pic with the pencil lines. Either a handwriting font, or a straightforward text font with straight lines and sharp corners.

Nice to hear from you that you like it. Yes, you find the beauty in simplicity in that wallpaper, and of course it's my liking but color theme can be varied liking cyan or royal blue etc. But most important in that design to me is background not the foreground mxlinux 23 text. The M and X geometry is my intention of design.

For the mxline23 I will try your suggestion

This logo elephant is not official, but an artistic impression to MX, stable, elegant and as these are baby elephants, so medium weight...
Btw, the elephants are making the letter M and their trunks X, So MX can be represented through them

I have not thought about it, as I have never used it.
It may consider a coincidence....but I have not inspired from postgresql but my idea is to make the word MX from elephant and their trunks

My $.02. While I like the elephants, I think that this design direction will be too much of a departure for our community. I also wonder if the presence of an elephant in our logo will foster thoughts of the "elephant in the room" in the minds of our critics?

Or, in the USA, of some secret political message...
