Re: MX-23 beta 1 feedback thread
@chrispop99 this may be device specific. I ran into problems with the 32 bit in virtualbox but on real hardware my eeepc 904ha (32 bit machine) and my Ideapad-100s (low spec 32 bit UEFI machine) can play videos, if not particularly well when it comes to HD. standard def videos played perfectly fine. I think hardware acceleration was not working though, possibly due to the age of the machines and changes in mesa hardware support.chrispop99 wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 9:12 am MX-23 Xfce 32-bit.

Re: MX-23 beta 1 feedback thread
I can reproduce. I pushed a fix to pipewire-setup-mx but we will have to work on this some.Joseph DeGarmo wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 12:44 pm When testing MX-23 KDE beta in a virtual machine, logging out and starting a new session causes the audio source to drop out. Only rebooting fixes it. Issue occurs on systemd as well and happens on both X11 and Wayland. Is this a VirtualBox issue or does this occur on physical hardware as well? I never have this issue when testing Debian 12 RC KDE and Q4OS 5 testing. And of course, I don't have this issue on my Fedora 37 KDE production machine when Pipewire is used.

Re: MX-23 beta 1 feedback thread
@j2mcgreg I think your USB issues are very particular to your system hardware, and in particular, your BIOS. I think it is retaining elements that need to be purged. Have a go at completely resetting your BIOS then re-enable/disable those things you need to get it working with Linux.

Maybe I'm going blind, but I don't see the link. Also, have moused over each word (not difficult, as there are only seven lines of text).dolphin_oracle wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 11:55 pm there is one, along with my usual bit about what logs to post.

Firewall being enabled.. I want to bet my socks more people will run into an issue. How do we turn it off?
Fired up a VM. Firewall in the search box of the menu, Firewall Configuration, deactivate the Status slider by clicking on it.
Also.. Nala is driving me nuts with its blinking. I'll just close my eyes while running the update check.
