I copied bl-conkyzen and bl-conkysession files from /usr/bin (in bunsenlabs distro). Still needed to change the respective paths in both files to match $HOME path in MX (where my conky theme files in 1.10 syntax are located). These theme files should have .conky-conf extension otherwise yad won't find them.
bl-conky- session file to be autostarted in order for last conky(s) to survive a restart.

...match $HOME path in MX (where my conky theme files in 1.10 syntax are located)
Thanks. That's an alternative to consider, ie to have 2 different pools of conkies (old and new syntax) and a different manager for each of them. Right now I convert them back to old syntax in MX, to be visible to CM.

I've tried running both old and new conkies together, using a very basic start-conky script in MX15/16 (which didn't come with CM), but one of them will always crash after a while.

OK, won't derail this thread any more.

Call it old school, but I really like grey/blue color combo's.
MX has one of the best configured fluxbox sessions I've seen; and still pretty low on resources.
Am presently running it from USB, but plan to install it on bare metal for daily use soon.

Playing with fluxbox these days with a dumb HP Pavillion dm1 whom freezes with xfce after 20 minutes of work.
I'm very impressed by this tiny fluxbox, high customizable and so light !
A conky, nextcloud and radiotray.

Really good job.

I am relatively new to MX_Linux (6 month i think) and today I discovered Fluxbox for the first time and played around with it a bit.
I find fluxbox interesting, I like applications that are "economical" with resources, even if it has little relevance on my hardware

I like XFCE a lot, I have used it in the 5 years I am using Linux on all the distributions I use now, but now I am giving Fluxbox a chance.

(google translate, i can hardly english)

This is my first couple of weeks with MX-fluxbox. Just trying to get a workable desktop at this point where I can do all my office work.

Nice--a good corona-virus theme! The point release (MXFB 2.1) coming out in a couple of weeks may help you.
