I see in my signature there is the following at the end of the sequence [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
There was a rotating Mepis bar there. Is this something I need to look after/fix?

Re: New Forum Comments
You need to edit your signature in your control panel. I would remove that notation for now. There may be a way to get that bar in again. If you recreate it and copy the BB code it may work.smilliken wrote:I see in my signature there is the following at the end of the sequence [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I believe it was I got from the Mepis site sometime ago. I'm sure they've been removed a long time ago, due to all of the new websites.richb wrote:You need to edit your signature in your control panel. I would remove that notation for now. Re: New Forum Comments
If you do a Google search on "bulletin board" or "Forum signature bars", you will find sites that allow you to build one and give you the necessary code to add to your sig. I lost mine too, but am not going to reinstate it. It is rather distracting to me.smilliken wrote:I believe it was I got from the Mepis site sometime ago. Re: New Forum Comments
What a surprise, new forum for 2011.
Looks good and works well, very well considering it's a whole new set up.
Makes me shudder to think about moving a forum.
Congratulations to all the people involved
Thank you NH

Re: New Forum Comments
Warren asked that our Forum header looked similar to the one at mepis.org. We felt that was a good idea for a uniform MEPIS web look, so we complied.anticapitalista wrote:Very minor point, but could the orange "MEPIS Users Forum" logo/link be removed (is it necessary?) or made smaller? It seems a bit out of place.

Re: New Forum Comments
richb, very small point, on the front page of the forum, under ANNOUNCEMENTS & RULES, Announcements
MEPISlovers Announcements will go here. Unless it's really important and then it will go in the Announcements box above the forums. Only Admin and Mods allowed to start threads here. Contact one of them if you have an announcement to make.
Mepislovers needs an edit; maybe to "MEPIS forums announcements will go here..."
Cheers NH

Thank you! We probably have more loose ends like that around.Nix Hard wrote:richb, very small point, on the front page of the forum, under ANNOUNCEMENTS & RULES, Announcements

Re: New Forum Comments
You will also notice the dot next to the post is blue if has been read and yellow/orange if it has not. Much more visible than a shade change.DBeckett wrote:After clicking on "View Active Topics," I notice that threads I have read already change to a darker shade of blue, but just barely, not enough to be readily apparent. Can this color be changed to something a little more easily seen?
