By the way, it looks like an old problem: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/win ... e06515acf6

So I did just copy and paste the adresstext in the browser and then it works too just like with VPN.

rijnsma11111 wrote: Thu Sep 12, 2024 7:08 am So.. I made a live-usb with a download of MX 23.3.
When I run it the exclusion of links (unless with VPN) does NOT happen. Everything normal. So it is something in my current version of MX. What next? 9_9

When you used the live USB, it works? Where you using the Falkon web browser also?
No Falkon is not there after download.

OK, that helps narrow things down. With the live ISO you used Firefox then, correct? If so, try Firefox again on your desktop.
You might be having problems with the Falkon web browser and I'm not familiar with setting up a new profile with that browser.

Thing is, I now see that link, and you stated there were more browsers affected. Or did I misunderstand?

If it is chrome, you can try and fake a reset of that to the default settings, by renaming the google-chrome folder in /home/username/.config/ (of course with chrome off all the way).

Once started, it will then start clean, and create a new google-chrome folder, nothing added to it. Does stuff work normally then, great, you can start fresh. If it doesn't you can simply close chrome, remove that new folder and rename the old back to what it was and it'll be back to the way it was.

Same thing with the other browsers, just find where they are at. Mostly in /home/username/ in a hidden folder, or in /.config/

Easy enough to try in any case.

I have done so before except for the making of profiles. (I have 5 browsers here, FF, Falkon, Vivaldi, Chrome and Tor.) But no success.

All browsers here. Only in MX. Not for example in PCLOS on another partition. Or a smartpone.

Then I would say, try the profile thing I mentioned earlier. I cannot tell exactly how to, never had to do that ;)

Is that with the new user?

You do have to be a bit more complete as we cannot look through your walls.

(although we get accused of it, sometimes )

Were you provided a new router?
