Thanks!
But as you know, already awesome mod artists in this forum.
My respin is probably bored.

By the way, MX-23 new built-in "pipewire" is great AV base technology.
I felt the sound and visual quality improved clearly than the MX-21.3!

Installable .iso is finally ready!

known problem issue: not needed 3 packages in apt.(my mistake)
To resolve this problem, please run "sudo apt autoremove".

This Respin based on MX-23 beta2.
This is not Product version MX, and this Respin is personal hobby made.
Please use this respin at your own risk.

@Freja I have a StarLite, so I thought I'd try it on a live USB.
Now upfront, I'll admit I have no need for an AV distro, and I'm an old fuddy duddy preferring old time icons and looks (Gnome icons are too modern for me lol.)
But I will say, it ran like a charm on my Starlite. I even liked the looks. Nice font!
Very very nice.

Nice and artistic respin.
Thanks!

I created it for people who are addicted to beautiful art, dislike bloated commercial OSes,
and are audio/visual geeks. (That's me, after all.)

This respin not for creators, but for many content consumers.
I would like them to be used for holidays, are mind sanctuary for working people.
As a place to take a breath.

Acknowledgements
It is thanks to the hard work of many developers and copyleft minds such as
GPL, MIT Licence, and Open Font Licence that an person of art like me
who can't write code was capable to publish this.

I just added the final seasoning to the dish,
and I would like to pay tribute to dolphin_oracle and a lot of developers.
Thank you so much.

I have not tried it yet but looked at your website introducing MX-Ghost. I do not use a computer mainly for AV applications. But I must say you have created a visually superb variant of MX.

@Freja

On the website, in the paragraph about ultrabooks, this statement is awkward:
If you buy it and install MX Ghost, you can enjoy crispy
I suggest that you change 'crispy' to 'crisp performance'.
Otherwise the site looks terrific.

@j2mcgreg
I fixed it, Thank you for pointing this out.

@richb
Thanks!
I will explain the intent of the UI design.

I let Plank manage my application windows.
Other than that, the whisker menu, power menu and system tray are on the panel.
I divided the panel's roles into two sections.

In standard MX, these two section's functions are all located on the panel.

Plank icon size have a problem, If use old machine, icons looks too big.
But it would be good to be dynamically resize it
depending on the installation machine resolution.

XFCE is perhaps the simplest and most elegant, but lacks KDE-like window effects.
Therefore, I adopted XFCE + Compiz and Emerald.

As I have said several times before, if the MX theme color were to be
unified with something other than blue, it would be very powerful in design.

A color other than blue, typical of MX...I imagine it
It's a "bluish violet".
reason. Red represents passion, blue represents intelligence.
these mixed to the purple, but intelligence is dominant, the color called bluish violet.

Tanzanite is bluish violet jewel, I still loving it.

In the video, when MX was booting up, there was a lot of text output scrolling down the screen. This normally happens if the "quiet" parameter is not used in grub or if you have 'detailed boot messages' selected.

Not using 'quiet' or having detailed output text looks cool but it slows down the boot process and may make it look like the iso is slow.

I recommend you use MX Boot Options to add the 'quiet' parameter to grub and tick the 'limited' output option as well so that MX boots faster.

thank you. The basics are the same as MX,
but there are little differences in user experience and UI presentation.
Designed as a lightweight AV daily driver.

What I did was "improve function balance and presentation."
Its "changed view of world".

...
HnossOS is a reference concept sports car based on MX-23.
The MX-25 is the actual sports car product of the future.

My wish is that the MX-25 will be influenced by the concept model HnossOS!

So please MX team check HnossOS.
Please feel free PM me if you have any questions about software configuration and settings.

To avoid a papirus update overwriting your dark folders, you could create a new Papirus-Hnoss icon theme.

@rokytnji.1
Sorry, I forgot upload .md5 file.
Looks md5sum correct.

I’ll update homepage soon.

...

Since I don't understand the system as much as other developers,
I decided to create a respin to learn about linux system. :snail:

I mainly studied on my own by reading online articles,
so there may be mistakes.

Respins and distros reflect the author's worldview.
Hnoss is packed with worldviews too. Pretty embarrassing. :hot:
Honestly, it takes courage to publish an ISO.

HnossOS based on MX-minimal, targeted modern mini-PC or Ultrabook.
In the result, HnossOS is maybe close to AV consumer XFCE-antiX like flavor.
It is different from rich features AVLinux.

This is a peaky configuration, so it is not suitable for general use,
Might be good for enthusiasts.

I liked it. Good job from this biker. Don't know why sound is muted. Figured it out on he Dell XT2 Touchscreen Wacom laptop. Sound came up when enabled pulse effects on startup. Then log back out and in to start it.
My Dell II chromebook sound did not come up no matter what I tried. Alsamixer is not installed?

I was trying this out as maybe using on the chromebook.
But I booted antiX 23.1 runit est iso and sound just works.
That will probably be installed on that chromebook since all that needs is a touchpad edit.
I am out in motorcycle shop now on my desktop box so that is my day for today.
Sorry. No inxi report <QSI> since the chromebook is put away, right now.
If you wish to see the inxi for antiX running on that chromebook

Really nice. I booted and really liked some of it's features. Right after I gave it the wifi password, I went to edit the wifi config and the laptop locked up for whatever reason. For some reason I was expecting pipewire but realized it wasn't. I've spent the last 3 years running MX and I have too much configured that works just right to reconfigure everything. I couldn't find the aps menu icon either in the very brief time I spent booted. Great work however. Why did you stay with pulse audio over pipewire?
As for the terminal fonts... I added this line, vt.cur_default=6 vt.color=2, to my boot options kernel parameters and now terminal has a nice green font instead of the boring b/w. Changing the parameters will give you a different cursor shape or font color, to a degree.
One other thing. If you select zram swap when installing, will it be configured and working at boot? If so that's a really nice feature that should be added to MX default.

@rokytnji.1 @davidy
At first, I write "how to create HnossOS (or your respin) by 10 steps" here as general reference.
(Maybe this post will works at create your respin)

1. Install MX or MX-minimum to test machine's SSD.
2. create user "demo" from root acount, and login to user demo.
3. install gufw and necessary minimum applications(Firefox, Lollypop etc.)
4. Boot animation folder put into /usr/share/plymouth, Bonus folder "hnoss" put into /usr
5. Additional Wallpapers and Author Attribution file put into /usr/share/backgrounds
6. Install window manager compiz and emelard themes, set window fade effects and mac like expose effects.
7. Adjust 1st panel settings, 2nd panel settings (Transparent Appication manager).
8. Run MX updater, Install MX-ahs Kernel from MXPI, then delete previous kernel.
8. Press Ctrl+H and /home/demo* copy into the /etc/skel from root account. Carefully create License description.
10. login to demo, create ISO by MX-snapshot as "reset account(for distro)". done.

...
Its very simple process.
I'm not modified MX Initial settings. so AS-IS MX-23.
I'm satisfied with the MX23 functions and don't feel need to change it.
The same applies to about pipewire. pipewire also improve sound quality.

@asqwerth may know more about zram swap can be used in MX23.

Alsamixer may not have been installed.
The sounds was heard on my test device Ultrabook (Intel J4115 Gemini Lake).

I tried various kernels, but I think the antiX Kernel was the best in many ways.
I gave priority to ahs, but perhaps antiX Kernel might be better.

No one knows anything about zswap but in the Hnoss live boot iso installer gui under Services there is an unchecked entry justy for that. I had zswap configured and enabled a couple kernels ago (I'm on liqourix in 21.3), and I even saw an entry in the MX Service Mgr gui that said it was working and enabled. I'm on 6.6.7-1 now and had to (try) and reconfigure it. Says it's enabled but the MX Services mgr entry is now gone. At least I'm hibernating OK, and that's with coreboot under sysvinit.

HnossOS's system is not MX23, is MX-base23(dolphin_oracle's respin).
Perhaps there are difference in system settings, not just fewer apps.

What I can say is that I tried to change the system settings as little as possible.

Perhaps the phenomenon is also reproduced in MX-base.

MX shouldn't be able to be equipped with too flashy effects or peaky functions.
