I have a to-snort-about thing going on.
When you have logged in MX Welcome appears, I leave that there for convenience until I am done setting things up.
I have save session ticked when I go to reboot, and I have to do that a few times after installing stuff.
My MX Welcome appears anew each time after I log in. So.. you can see where this is going:

No longer any way around having client side decorations? My favorite feature of MX-21 betas was being able to turn off CSD.

you can still do it I believe, just not OOTB
last I knew, there wasn't a reliable and stable way around it, I know others were looking at the options and what not.
that feature may have been a favorite for many, until all hell broke loose and it caused more issues than it did anything else

the switches in mx-tweak are still available, but you'll need to install gtk3-nocsd on your own. performance of that library was iffy and I do not consider it good enough to ship by default.

Here is an anomaly with the keyboard in LibreOffice, Featherpad, and Geany in MX-21_rc1.
In a text document using any of the above applications, the correct behavior when using Shift+Ctrl+Arrow is to highlight and advance the cursor left or right one word at a time.
The problem in MX-21_rc1 is that the right Shift+Ctrl+Arrow key combination will highlight and advance the cursor left or right only one character at a time.
The right Ctrl+Arrow works correctly, advancing the cursor one word at a time but without highlighting.
The left Shift+Ctrl+Arrow and LCtrl+Arrow combination works correctly.
This was not a problem in MX-21_beta1 or beta2, only rc1.

Just use libxfce4ui-nocsd like everyone else. Even SwampRabbit posted a screenshot showing libxfce4ui-nocsd so I don't know why he pretends it doesn't exist.

I explained it here so everyone (including MX devs) would understand how easy it is to turn off CSDs in Xfce 4.16 without any bugs or side effects. Sigh.

right shift + rcntrol is the X keyboard command to shift keyboards, I thought that was also true on beta2. you can change that in the system keyboard app

No problems here, Asus EEE 1000HG. Took me just over an hour to set things up.
Performance is ok as long as I don't use the machine for anything video related
Oh... and one more thing regarding the small screen: Alt+click now works (I have no idea why it didn't work before)

Thank you DO. I've been quite pleased with it. I thought it was like having a magic key, though I did not realize it was a separate library. I'll experiment with it in the rc1. Will advise of any issues.
