Yes, please start a separate VB topic if you run into problems. I would be particularly interested if a virtualbox users group is created and you user name is added.Eadwine Rose wrote:VB may need a separate topic if we run into anything. I am not done tweaking just yet, so not down to repo-install VB yet (I do that last).
Anticapitalista: why?
And what is svmi? (sorry, I guess I completely missed that thing *shrug*)

Downloaded 32 bit Debian Google Chrome, did not install: Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libxss1 (X11 Screen Saver extension library)
I opened synaptic found the missing dependency & installed. Afterwards was able to install Google Chrome version: 33.0.1750.146

Where did the dependency come from? Did you have to add any other repo?namida12 wrote:Downloaded 32 bit Debian Google Chrome, did not install: Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libxss1 (X11 Screen Saver extension library)

How do I put file manager on taskbar (Kicker/Panel)? Was very convenient in previous versions of M-14 betas...

Re: RC2 feedback
It was in the software list, I did not need to add another repo. Do you want to me to do another fresh install to see if I can duplicate the missing dependency?anticapitalista wrote:Where did the dependency come from? Re: RC2 feedback
No its not necessary. My guess is it came from Debian repo and not debian backports. As long as it is working.namida12 wrote:It was in the software list, I did not need to add another repo. Oh, debian chrome is chromium right? The meta-installer should have installed it.

Re: RC2 feedback
The libxss1 package is in the regular Debian Wheezy repos: https://packages.debian.org/wheezy/libxss1.namida12 wrote:It was in the software list, I did not need to add another repo. How did you install the google-chrome-stable package, Gdebi or dpkg?
Had the repos been loaded at least once either from a 'apt-get update' or by clicking the 'Reload' button in Synaptic?
(Gdebi would probably complain if the repo package lists hadn't yet been loaded)
Re: RC2 feedback
What Manager? Settings Manager is already there. Otherwise, please read docs on QuickStart and Customization, where all this kind of thing is laid out. Thanks.namida12 wrote:How do I put file manager on taskbar (Kicker/Panel)? Was very convenient in previous versions of M-14 betas...

RC2 is very nice. Language and localization is perfect, can't find anything wrong at first look.
