Please update mousepad to 5.6, which is the latest version. I believe 5.5 included significant dbus changes to make it more aware of system events. For example, opening a second file by double-clicking it in Thunar, should now give the existing mousepad instance the focus; bringing it forward above other windows.
I tried 5.6 in Fedora 34 and it appears solid.
Mousepad feels more like Xed, from Linux Mint. Xed would also be a nice addition to the MX Repo.
I noticed you have Nemo file manager, which is really temping but I'm finding Thunar to be very fast and a bit lighter weight. Especially when dealing with "mapped samba drives" from over vpn. Thunar loads the files and directories much faster.
Also, if you have much contact with the Xfce devs, it would be nice if Thunar included expanding a folder within the same view and an internal find/grep command for convenience, like Nemo; rather than having to open an additional app (catfish) or another terminal instance.
I do like featherpad, except for the find/replace. I can't find the "find next" then "replace" feature. I only see "find replace all", which is a bit daunting when working on system files or code where you need to be really accurate in what you replace.
Thanks,
Roger

Re: MX-21 beta 2 feedback thread (xfce)
I tested a clean install and also tested via the upgrade method posted on the blog by Adrian. On both occasions I had issues with thumbnails for .mkv files not appearing on mounted drives.
Edit: I have rectified this by making an xdg/tumbler/tumbler.rc in .config and changing max file size to 0 for ffmpegthumbnailer and gstreamer plugin. Seems like between now and 2019 they added a limit of 2gb.

Please add LibreWolf+Telegram Desktop to Popular Applications.
Also please set default browser to LibreWolf instead of Firefox for security reasons and FOSS. THX!

Re: MX-21 beta 2 feedback thread (xfce)
not sure why telegram isn't in Popular Apps
we don't even have librewolf packaged for MX... last I checked it still gets created by running a bunch of scripts against a Firefox build..... not sure if their appimage works or not
also no its already been discussed that Firefox will be staying the default browser
now this thread needs locked as it has served its purpose because we already released MX-21 RC1 and that is where "feedback" should go
