Yup, 32 bit, no plans for a 64-bit versionSilent Observer wrote:Wow, this looks like it could be a good candidate to replace antiX on my second desktop machine, maybe even in place of MEPIS on my quad-core -- but I have a question: the mention of a PAE kernel seems to imply MX is 32-bit (if 64-bit, it wouldn't need PAE to access large RAM installation). Is there a 64-bit version, or some advantage to running a 32-bit kernel on 64-bit capable systems?
The record is that they all say the same!Jerry3904 wrote:Edit > Preferences > OtherAs far as yahoo requiring IE/Firefox, is there a way to change Qupzilla's user agent?
EDIT: wow, 3 responses in 1 minute, gotta be some kind of record
I think it's more than a QupZilla problem. I access one of my Yahoo emails on Squeeze with Galeon and observed this same behavior begin yesterday. It's stuck on a loop back to a Firefox/Safari update announcement. Very annoying. But then the Yahoo redesign is a disaster in so many ways . . .whell wrote:Similar results here. QupZilla doesn't seem to like my Yahoo mail. I get taken to a page in Yahoo that asks me to use IE or Firefox instead. If I click on a link that allows me to proceed to Yahoo mail with QupZilla, Yahoo sends me back to the IE/Firefox page. The good news is that Firefox installs fast and easy with the meta-installer.
Suggest you read the QuickStart document (question mark on Panel) to get going.Desktop will take a little getting time to embrace.
There's a few more computers out there that can use a 32-bit OS. Most of those will run a PAE kernel. (For instance my Atom NetBook is 32-bit only, but will use a PAE kernel.) Super old hardware will need antiX. It's i486 version will run on almost anything. Including the latest and greatest.Silent Observer wrote:Wow, this looks like it could be a good candidate to replace antiX on my second desktop machine, maybe even in place of MEPIS on my quad-core -- but I have a question: the mention of a PAE kernel seems to imply MX is 32-bit (if 64-bit, it wouldn't need PAE to access large RAM installation).
